I also received a phone call today around 5:00pm from M7 Tuning.  I was driving back from camp with my son and was out of cell range so a voice mail message was left.  It was from one of the owners.  She wanted to personally apologize for the issue I had with my catch can.  She said that most of the time they get it right but sometimes they don’t and would like the opportunity to make it right in the future.

It was a very nice gesture.  Apology excepted.

This year the Mini In The Mountains (MITMS) team is mixing things up.  The venue has been changed to Winter Park Resort.  This venue is going to be incredible.  Monday night I saw some Summer time pictures of the resort.  The drive to get there is thrill on it’s own.  It’s 20 miles of tight hairpins.

Look for more information from the promotions team.  Oh yeah, I’ve been recruited for that team so you’ll see a ton of updates here.

Anyway, Dave says I got another shout out on White Roof Radio this week.  Ok, this is two episodes in a row.  I have also heard that these two shows are some of the best ever in listenership.  This is not a coincidence.  I would like to challenge my buddy Todd to mention me and my blog for every episode from this day on.  I’m usually not the superstitious type, but guys we have to keep this up.  I’m just looking out for you.  My personal gain is really pointless.  I am here for you.

It took a lot of hard work on Todd’s part, getting through my people, setting up a time, etc.  Todd is a very persistent journalist.  I have have been dodging him all weekend and the guy would just not quit.  Props to you Todd!

The interview was pretty good and should easily make the real of WhiteRoofRadio.  I mean compared to what I’ve heard on there before.  With me on it should be a huge episode for him.  Look for Todd’s eBay link, at WhiteRoofRadio.com, as I signed quite a few of this “little” WhiteRoofRadio stickers and he was passing them out to people.

Honestly I was nervous, he walked over with this cool little recording device and started talking with me.  Todd is a great guy and I wish that he and the smokin’ hot girl he was with him lived closer to my family here in Colorado.

When he is not busy recording WhiteRoofRadio, he is a small business owner in Kansas City, MO.  One of the great new friends I have met here at MITM 2009.  Good luck to you Todd and keep in touch.

The coldest part of the car was dropping my hand in the bucket six or seven times.  About 75 minutes later the Mini was clean and dry & I was wet and cold.  I quickly drove back to the room, showered and heading for the car show registration table.

Got my car registered at the last minute.  All that work and I end up getting parked next to two sweet cars.  It was fun setting up the car and displaying in the Village area of Copper Mountain.  It was the best car show venue I’ve been too.

After the car show a few of us head down out to lunch.  Breaking away on Saturday for  lunch is becoming quite a tradition for the little group we are in.  I hope that continues in the future.  Nicole had some final shopping to complete so we headed down to the factory outlet shops in Dillon.  Here is a picture of the boys waiting outside the Nike store for Mom.

The day wrapped up with the MITM Group Photo which was taken from the top of a fire truck extension ladder.  It should be a great shot.  I let the boys stand up in the Mini for the shot.  Yup I told them to take off their shoes.

The Vendor Dinner was also this evening.  When I registered for the event, I was not sure how many of the family members where coming so I passed on the Saturday night dinner.

I’m staying to drink a little Guinness with some buddies by the cars.

We all swapped stories till about 10am. The Turquoise Lake run was lining up and the wife, kids and I had never been there. We decided to tag along

Lunch was packed in the morning so we were off. I won’t bore with the ride details. It was filled with too much stopping, not “wanting to leave people behind” and slow driving. I understand those thing and why we should do them, but they are still frustrating. On the way back there was some sort of food festival going on in Leadville. As we drove by, we all wondered what “Monkey Balls” were. Anyone?

Once back to Copper the bride took off for shopping and the boys and I headed over to the bumper boats. They had been nagging me all day.
