16,450 miles Today was the Clubman’s first oil change and dealer service. While waiting I had a look around at Ralph Schomp. Check out these 17″ R108s. They look tremendous is black. Kind of an expensive winter rim, but they would be epic. I didn’t pull the trigger. $2,000+ worth of wheels would not sit [...]
I’ve been working hard to find a DYNO to get the Clubman on to complete my review NM Engineering’s exhaust. I think I found a place. So look for the review in a few weeks. I know it’s been quite a while. Waiting for the exhaust to break in will allow a truer review of [...]
A near new set of wheels and All Season tires for sale. These were on my 2009 Clubman for less than 1000 miles. They will fit all Mini models, Cooper, Cooper S and Clubman. I live in Colorado and prefer a local sale, but will ship on your dime. Here are the details. $700 (4) [...]
I am beginning to think that putting an extra $200 worth of TPMS thingys on my Clubman’s Winter rims and tires is a huge waste of money. After all aren’t they going to come on every morning anyway? I may skip them.
Here in Colorado Winter is approaching. Ok it’s not really Winter till what, December? However Winter weather can hit us anytime here. This week will see the Clubman with snow tires and a new set of rims. When I traded in my old 2006 Cooper S I held on to a few essentials. One of [...]
I got to the office late today and to my surprise the stuff I ordered from newministuff.com was already here. I ordered a frick’in week ago. I was thinking it was going to take 30 days or something like that. A frick’in week. That is so incredible!
I picked up two of these this week. The Clubman will be using this in anticipation of a shipment that should be here mid October. I try and buy two of these so I can clean them once a month. One is drying while the other is in the car. 2008-2009 S Model K&N 33-2936 [...]
Mike from NewMiniStuff was nice enough to send me out some new stuff for the Clubman. It should be here a few days. Which should be about the time the Clubman gets out of the shop. New Black A-Pillar towers with the tweeters my Clubman is missing. I hope this addition will help throw the [...]
Just got back from the second trip to the body shop today. The first was the drop off this morning. The second was to verify the correct bumper was ordered. I got the part numbers a few weeks ago from Schomp. That made me feel pretty confident that the bumper was correct. However I then [...]
Heading out in a few minutes to drop off the Clubman at the body shop. I hope everything goes as planned, I’m sure it won’t. Wish me luck.
I know quite a few of you have been waiting for my review on the new Clubman exhaust that was recently released from NM Engineering. Please be patient the Pavement Gator incident has push my testing back a week or so. I can assure you that the exhaust is excellent. The sound is deep but [...]
The final estimates are in from the Pavement Gator incident. State Farm estimated the damage at about $2400. That did NOT included a new hood. None of the crumple zones on the hood were moved so I somewhat agree with the decision. The bottom line is I’ll have $1400 to put toward the fixes. I [...]
