All the hype in the Mini community right now is centered around the upcoming even in Las Vegas called AMVIV. It’s truly going to be an epic March in Vegas. I am so looking forward to my first AMVIV. After that event comes The Dragon, then MITMs.
This year the Mini In The Mountains (MITMS) team [...]
Stuffing ourselves has become a tradition…and so should be the Post Turkey Day Run with Mini5280.
Today Jacob, my oldest son, and I had the pleasure of running through Denver today with about 10-12 other Minis. We started out at the old Detailer’s Paradise location on South Broadway. The group started by working our way through [...]
Since the boys from White Roof Radio took out Friday morning I decided to walk Central Hall again. Yesterday the Central Hall tour was a little rushed. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see everything.
Here is a link to the pictures from Friday. In there you’ll find a video of a sweet sounding BMW. Another video [...]
Thursday morning was rough. I caught what I call “The SEMA Flu”. There is no vaccination for this strain. However, there is a cure. Advil, lots of water, maybe a chili dog for breakfast. I’ll have to try the chili dog thing next time.
Other than being hung, Thursday was pretty awesome. I spent the day [...]
Matt Adir(Master-Pull) got me trashed Wednesday night…sorry no updates yesterday. Well other than the headache lasted all day, and my inner thighs are raw(from the walking to perverts)
I am uploading some more pictures now. Some of the photos are of Todd Pearson from “White Roof Radio”. Consistently in the top 10 inf the Auto category [...]
Day one of my SEMA trip was filled with luck, good friends and a sweet hotel.
I rolled out of Denver about 4:30 am and arrived in Las Vegas about 3:00 pm. Before checking in the hotel I stopped at the show. I wanted to get my Press Pass before the rush in the morning. Parking [...]
Tonight I’m prepping the blog and some photo galleries for next weeks SEMA show coverage. Many of you know, I was the owner of an internet based off road parts company. During those 8 years I could never find the time to make it to SEMA. This year is different. I [...]
The final estimates are in from the Pavement Gator incident. State Farm estimated the damage at about $2400. That did NOT included a new hood. None of the crumple zones on the hood were moved so I somewhat agree with the decision.
The bottom line is I’ll have $1400 to put toward the fixes. I got [...]
Had a great morning at the Mini of Loveland groundbreaking while also celebrating 50 years of the Mini. An excellent turnout with over 30 Minis present. I even managed to get an interview in with the local press. I’m really looking forward to having a dealership so much closer. Schomp has been great, but location [...]
The local Mini club here in Colorado had a fun event last night. We started out at the Sonic in Thornton(104th & Colorado). As the club filled up the slots the Sonic filled our stomachs with burgers, hot dogs and sweet treats. All these goodies were marked at 50% off for us.
A [...]
This is somewhat related to driving at 5280 feet.
My oldest son is racing in his first Soap Box Derby Race tomorrow in Ogalalla, NE. I have set up a forum and of course a blog to document the action for the next two days. If he enjoys himself we’ll be getting him a [...]
In my haste to update last night before getting some shut eye, I forgot to mention the true thrill of the day. Todd, from the infamous Podcast WhiteRoofRadio<iTunes Link> and MotoringBadges.com got an interview with me.
<insert tongue in cheek>
It took a lot of hard work on Todd’s part, getting through my people, setting up a time, [...]
