JP – The Clubman – gets some updates

Lately I’ve been a horrible blogger, not just here but on all my sites. A few month ago our LostCoffee project went live and it’s been balls to the walls since then. I wanted to take a quick moment and post up about a few updates I did to the car.

Since I’ve posted last I’ve add the R113 JCW 18″ rims only with some NittoNeoGen rubber. The most dramatic move was moving my back C Pillar to Black. At AMVIV Todd from ToddsModds added some carbon fiber vinyl to the front headlight rings. Also at the event I added a NM-Eng short shifter w/cover and a Craven Speed shift well cover. The Linear Edge – your race track love as art

The V8 Hotel – I could live there

Traveling north from Italy into Switzerland, you’ll come to Gotthard Pass, which you can cross on either the new, straightforward road, or the old roller coaster above. My money’s on the latter.

Instaling the NM CAI(Cold Air Intake) and Tie-Bar on the Clubman

Let’s start this off by telling your it was about 25 degrees in my garage when I started this. A fresh coat of snow blanketed my driveway. So first things first.

An hour before I was ready to get started I fired up the propane heater. A nice toasty garage is a must.

After that is was really as easy as following the instructions that NM Engineering supplies for you. I have had a wonderful experience with NM. I now run almost everything they make for the R55.

Rear End Links
Exhaust
CAI (Cold Air Intake)
Tie-Bar

I choose SPC Performance for my rear control arms. My rear sway bar is the 26mm Hotchkis. What would complete my “NM” Clubman is to sport their new Heat Shield and a Engine Torque Arm Insert. I’m sure those items are coming some day.

As for the performance of the Tie-Bar and CAI; I’ll have to tell you in a few days when some of this snow melts.
