I had a great father son moment today at the car wash. I have the feeling that, as I age, moments like today will be the ones I remember.

These days some see fatherhood as more of a friendship roll. As a father I look at my roll as more of a teaching one This is true even in the simplest tasks, like washing a car.

Whether it’s was telling him to not let the drying towel touch the ground or letting him know you save water and soap by washing the top first, all those things help me believe that he will grow into a smart and productive young man. As I type this it sounds very silly, but it still feel likes it’s my duty.

I love you son, today was very special for me. I hope it was for you too.
